WHO WE ARE?

Universal Health and Development Foundation (UHDF) is a legally registered grass-roots organization focused on advocacy, research and linking of underserved Ugandan communities to quality health and other social services. It was founded in 2013 by a team of health and education professionals determined to improve the health and well-being of people living in rural, slums and hard-to-reach areas. Locally registered in 2015 as a community based organization in Butaleja district, nationally incorporated in 2019 as company limited by guarantee and certified in 2020 as non-government organization in Uganda

To promote and improve the health and wellbeing of people in rural, slums and hard-to-reach areas through advocacy, health promotion, creation of self-sufficiency, capacity building and linkages to quality health and social services with overall community participation and involvement.
